I’m Stacey, the inspired owner of The Beauty Muse. What inspires me? Honestly, you do. For many years, I didn’t have “good” skin. I suffered with painful cystic acne and deep-pitted scarring as a result. My skin was my biggest insecurity for as long as I can remember.

As my skin journey went on and I gained more knowledge and experience, I realised that all of the painful breakouts, deep cysts and inflammation were coming from me impairing - and even completely removing - my skin’s barrier defence systems.

Microdermabrasion, deep chemical peels, incorrect skincare products, relentlessly picking pimples - the list goes on! I committed almost every skin sin in the book. That’s how desperate I was to have clear skin. I could look back and wish I didn’t use XYZ on my skin or remove my entire skin’s barrier with Jessner Peels.

But if I didn’t do these things, I wouldn’t be in a position to help you with your skin. So if you’re reading this and are struggling with your own insecurities with your skin, you’re not alone. I get it. Your skin is telling a story. And it can be really hard to figure out what that story is on your own.

As my journey has progressed in this incredible industry, I have realised that most of the issues and conditions within our skin today is a result of over-exfoliation of our skin’s barrier which results in acne, inflammation and premature ageing amongst a wide array of other conditions.

My focus is taking on a holistic approach to rebuild the integrity of the skin before commencing a tailored plan. No two skins are the same.
